Furniture Fairs to Visit in 2023

The start of the year, for the design professionals and enthusiasts, brings a lot of new things, including furniture fairs. 

Furniture fairs is the place where brands get reunited to show their products, art, and other designers. Besides the exhibition, these furniture fairs also count with many lectures and workshops that allow professionals exchange information and wisdom.

Maison&Objet: January 19-23 and September 07-11

Probably, Maison&Objet is one of the most important design fairs for everyone in this sector. This fair happens twice a year and is the place where everyone from brands, to interior design experts, gather to present their newest works and also to settle the next design trends. 

The exhibition will happen in Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition center and this year the theme is “Take Care!”. This theme will be represented in many different ways. Maison&Objet of 2023 will be all about “taking care of each other, of our expertise, and of our planet”.

Among the main exhibitors of this fair, we highlight Vondom, Grassi Piete Srl, Vista Alegre.

Salone del Mobile Milan: April 18-23

The most important and principal event of the Milan Design Week is Salone del Mobile. It’s one of the most respected furniture fairs in the world and it will happen between 18 and 23 of April at Milan Fairgrounds, Rho (Milan). 

This event is one of the most completed ones since it mixes business with culture and furniture design that will mark the present and the future. Salone Internazionale del Mobile has three style categories: classic, design, and xLux. The first one is referred to tradition and craftsmanship; design to innovation and functionality; and xLux to contemporary luxury.

Fuorisalone: April 17-23

Fuorisalone is the official name to refer to the Milan Design Week events and happens across the city. These events happen at the same time that Salone Internazionale Del Mobile is staged in the stands of Rho Fiera. If you plan your visit in advance, you will have time to visit all the things (or almost all of them).

This event happens every year in April and it is one of the most important events in the design world. Although, Fuorisalone is not fair and it is not managed by any institution. It was born in the ’80s by the hand of many companies that worked together in the furnishing sectors. 

Highlight brands: B&B Italia, De Padova, Roda, and Roberto Cavalli Home Interiors.

International Contemporary Furniture Fair: May 21-23

ICFF will happen between the days of 21 and 23 of May 2023 in Javits Center, New York City. The fair will present original contemporary designs of more than 300 brands from 25 countries. The products categories range from furniture to lighting, outdoor furniture, accessories, and much more.

Not only you are going to see unique designs but also have the chance to talk and see sessions from inspirational and iconic names in the industry.

Highlight brands: Dedon, GlammFire, and LIU JO Living.

Monaco Yacht Show: September 27-30

The Monaco Yacht Show happens since 1991, annually, and promotes creative excellence in the world of superyachts. Like the years before, the show will be held in Port Hercule of Monaco.

The show is divided in two exhibition areas: afloated and on the quayside. In the first one there are 118 superyachts and more than 50 luxury tenders displayed by the world’s most renowned builders.

Highlight yacht designers: Diana Yacht Design, Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, and Tony Castro.
