The Showroom as a Narrative Experience
At the heart of LV The Place Bangkok lies Visionary Journeys, an immersive exhibition designed to explore Louis Vuitton’s legacy of experience.
The showroom unfolds as a spatial narrative where visitors move through thematic environments inspired by the Maison’s identity. Every room becomes part of a larger story, transforming architecture into an emotional medium.
One of the most iconic moments of the experience is the “Trunkscape” installation, a monumental tunnel composed of 96 Louis Vuitton trunks. This installation symbolizes the origins of the Maison as a trunk-maker while reinterpreting historical craftsmanship through contemporary scenography.

The storytelling strategy relies on atmosphere, with reflective surfaces, installations, lighting, elements, and tactile materials that create a cinematic environment where visitors experience the brand emotionally.

This approach reflects the future of luxury spaces: environments designed to communicate identity, culture, and lifestyle.
The Experience of the Showroom
The experience at LV The Place Bangkok was designed as a multisensory journey. From the illuminated diamond-inspired façade to the layered interiors, every detail contributes to a sequence of architecture, hospitality, fashion, and gastronomy that coexist.
The destination also includes Le Café Louis Vuitton, which blurs the line between lifestyle experience and retail environment, reinforcing the idea of luxury as an immersive universe.
On the upper floor, the retail showroom adopts a more residential and gallery-inspired atmosphere. Men’s and women’s collections are displayed within curated interiors featuring collectible furniture, artworks, and material palettes.

Adding another layer to the experience is Gaggan at Louis Vuitton, led by internationally acclaimed chef Gaggan Anand. Here, gastronomy becomes part of the architectural narrative, merging culinary with the Maison’s world of luxury and innovation.

The Designers and Architects Behind Concept
Behind the immersive identity of Visionary Journeys is the internationally renowned architecture firm OMA, led by partner Shohei Shigematsu.

Recognized for his work at the intersection of architecture, fashion, and exhibition design, Shigematsu approached the project as a spatial storytelling experience rather than a conventional exhibition. His vision focused on translating Louis Vuitton’s heritage into architectural environments capable of emotionally engaging visitors.
Through scenographic installations, monumental compositions, and thematic spaces, OMA transformed symbolic elements of the Maison into architectural language. Shigematsu has become one of the leading figures redefining how luxury brands interact with physical space, having previously collaborated on major cultural and fashion-related projects worldwide.

The interiors of LV The Place Bangkok also reflect Louis Vuitton’s evolving design philosophy: a fusion of Parisian elegance, hospitality-inspired environments, contemporary retail architecture, and collectible design culture. The result is a project that transcends retail design entirely. Instead, LV The Place Bangkok positions itself as one of Asia’s most ambitious examples of experiential luxury architecture.
