Al Mourad Hotel Cruise

Al Mourad Hotel Cruise | Where Luxury Design Meets the Timeless Beauty of the Nile

There is something magical about seeing Egypt from the water. The pace slows, the crowds disappear, and the landscape unfolds in a way that feels almost cinematic. Al Mourad Hotel Cruise embraces that feeling, offering an intimate voyage along the Nile where thoughtful design and genuine hospitality shape the experience.

Sailing between Luxor and Aswan, the boutique vessel brings together contemporary interiors, handcrafted details, and uninterrupted views of one of the world’s most storied rivers.

The Story Behind This Project

The first thing guests notice about Al Mourad is its sense of calm. There is no excess, no attempt to compete with the grandeur of the temples and landscapes beyond its decks. Instead, the vessel feels quietly confident, allowing the Nile to take center stage.

The luxury boutique Nile cruise was designed by the Cairo-based Reya Al Muhtasib Design House, whose approach blends contemporary living with a strong connection to place. Interiors are filled with natural textures, warm materials, and carefully framed views of the river.

The custom furniture found throughout the lounges and staterooms was handcrafted by The Edit. Rather than furnishing the vessel with off-the-shelf pieces, every element was created specifically for the project, giving the spaces a residential character rarely found on a cruise. The atmosphere feels closer to a beautifully designed home than a traditional hospitality setting.

Suites

This cruise counts with 8 Cabins and 1 Panoramic Suite, all equally beautiful.

The suites continue the same design language found throughout the vessel. Soft neutral tones, natural materials, and bespoke furnishings create spaces that feel calm and residential rather than traditionally hotel-like.

Large windows frame the changing landscape outside, while carefully chosen textures and handcrafted details bring warmth to the interiors. Curved forms, custom joinery, and locally inspired artwork add character without overwhelming the space.

As the vessel moves along the Nile, the view becomes part of the room itself, creating a constant connection between the interiors and the landscape beyond.

Sun Deck

The Sun Deck is where much of life on board naturally unfolds. Guests gather here in the early morning with coffee in hand, return throughout the day to watch the scenery pass by, and linger long after sunset.

As evening approaches, the river takes on a golden glow and the surrounding landscape becomes even more dramatic. Few places offer a better seat for watching the Nile at its most beautiful.

Pool

Positioned with views across the river, the pool offers a welcome pause between excursions. It is not oversized or theatrical; instead, it feels perfectly suited to the vessel’s scale.

Whether taking a swim in the heat of the afternoon or simply relaxing nearby, guests are encouraged to slow down and enjoy the journey.

Dining

Meals aboard Al Mourad are relaxed and unhurried. Menus draw inspiration from local ingredients and regional flavors, while the setting changes with the landscape outside.

Breakfast often arrives with views of palm-lined riverbanks, while dinner is accompanied by the soft movement of the water and the glow of the evening sky. The experience feels intimate, reflecting the overall character of the cruise itself.

Journeys

The route between Luxor and Aswan has attracted travelers for centuries, and for good reason. Ancient monuments rise from the landscape with remarkable ease, while villages and islands reveal another side of Egypt often missed by visitors.

Al Mourad approaches the journey at the pace it deserves. There is time to explore, time to observe, and time to simply sit on deck and watch the river unfold.
